How do I order home medical equipment?
Most insurance plans require documentation of medical necessity for durable medical equipment. Medical necessity is established by your doctor.

Most insurance plans require that you have a face-to-face visit with your doctor. During that visit, make sure to discuss the safety and/or medical concerns that you are experiencing in your home. Your doctor will document those concerns and make a decision on what durable medical equipment to prescribe. Please note that most insurance plans follow Medicare medical policy. Under Medicare, a doctor’s appointment and prescription do not necessarily mean that you will qualify for payment by insurance. Our customer service representatives are well versed on medical policy and will be happy to answer any questions that you or your doctor may have to ensure medical necessity is documented according to your insurance company guidelines. Without proper medical documentation, medical equipment will not be covered by your insurance company.

How long does delivery take?
Pending complete information, including signed orders, Prism Health Care Services will contact patients to schedule delivery within 24 hours.
